Full-time International Management MBA

Target group

The MBA programme International Management which starts at the beginning of September is directed primarily at graduates of non-business degree courses who wish to augment their knowledge from their first degree course and initial job experience with solid business and internationally orientated know-how.

Equally, graduates of economics degree courses also profit from discovering models already familiar to them within a new context or even wish to refresh their knowledge which has possibly slightly faded during the course of everyday working life. The MBA programme International Management is a vital prerequisite for several participants to achieve the next career step.

Programme structure

The programme incorporates a total of 13 modules which are spread over four semesters. The scope includes roughly 16-20 semester hours per week. In addition to economics business seminars, you visit various skills courses in which you learn management and intercultural competences which are required in management positions nowadays. Moreover, the CBS provides you the opportunity to specialise in an area of your choice within the scope of an elective course.

In addition to the introductory modules for the area of Management Principles and Organisation and Strategy, Accounting Basics are also taught in the first semester. In the area of interdisciplinary competences, you attend courses on the topics of Research Principles as well as Project and Team Management.
The modules Business Environment, Financial Management, Global Supply Chain Management as well as Culture and Change Management are on the agenda in the second semester.

During the third semester, the students can select a specialist course from the areas of Sustainability, Business Psychology or Entrepreneurship / Innovation Management, depending on their personal preferences. The programme is rounded off with the Financial Markets and Institutions, International Management and Creativity and Leadership modules.

The major content of the fourth semester is the Master of Arts thesis. In the thesis, for example, the students process a current problem in a company whilst taking scientifically sound methods and approaches into consideration – with pleasure also in close collaboration with a company. In this way, both the students and the companies profit from the results elaborated. Additionally, a careers seminar is held during the final semester.

You extend your competence in several areas after 4 semesters and make yourself more attractive for senior positions.
