Executive MBA Consulting Management

The programme starting in September 2012 offers an exclusive EMBA programme with focus on consulting provided jointly by the DeutscheAnwaltAkademie (Cologne Branch) and the Cologne Business School. The newly designed programme - Executive Consulting Management MBA degree course whilst working full time – is unique due to its cooperation with the DeutscheAnwaltAkademie.

You can qualify across the disciplines to become a sought after consultant for international commercial companies and create the best prerequisites for legal counselling and consultancy work. Your clients will perceive your internationally recognised academic Master of Business Administration degree as proof that you understand the challenges companies face.

The programme is limited to 24 participants. Study content is guided by international MBA standards and includes, for example, workshops and seminars on Managerial Economics, Strategic Management, Applied Management Consulting, Mediation and Negotiation. Consulting also means leading. For this reason, this study course also places great emphasis on the area of leadership in addition to legal and economic knowledge. Mediation training provided by the DeutscheAnwaltAkademie is also a part of the study course. After you have concluded the study course, you may also use the title of Mediator (DAA).

Procedure
The study course lasts 15 months plus the time required for completing the Master of Arts thesis. It takes place whilst working full time by way of weekend courses and several block weeks. The EMBA Consulting Management study course is split into 11 subject modules. Lectures are mainly held in German and about 20 percent in English.

Content
The study course conveys the skills to analyse company balance sheets and elaborate solution possibilities for strategic challenges. While experienced lawyers will acquire well-founded economic knowledge, consultants will obtain knowledge of labour and corporate law.
