Teaching

The endowed chair aims to enshrine the subjects of business ethics and sustainability firmly within the academic teaching. The goal is to initially sensitize the future corporate leaders for these topics and their increasing importance. On this basis the students shall be made familiar in dealing with these topics and shall be able to apply and implement those in a company’s daily business life.

In order to achieve this objective, several lecturers and seminars, regarding these topics, are integrated within the wide range of all study programmes, instead of teaching them as a separate course of study. This is because business ethics and sustainability should form the central building block of all economic studies, as demonstrated by the present and forthcoming economic, ecological and social challenges.
