Research

The primary areas of research are business ethics, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and corporate governance. Due to the strong international orientation of Cologne Business School and the chair, research in these fields is conducted against the backdrop of globalization and the increasing international business activity of companies.

However, projects with a local or regional focus are conducted as well. An example for this is an extensive research project on the sustainability efforts and measures of businesses in the Rhein-Ruhr region, a region in the western part of Germany. Moreover, special attention is given to specific problems of the middle management level in businesses.
