Extracurricular Studies

Our students gain knowledge both through lectures, seminars and exercise and as a result of regular excursions, lecture and participation in workshops.

Extracurricular studies at the Cologne Business School are directed at the degree course contents, however they also incorporate a general educational character. Current economic topics should be explained from the experts' viewpoint. Food for thought is provided which has already frequently resulted in students suddenly knowing the subject for their Bachelor of Arts thesis following an extracurricular studies event.

Personalities from the world of business - business leaders, politicians or academics – hold contemporary lectures and shed light on complex problems from the expert's view. Company visits provide the students an insight in production processes, process management and company development.

The events are planned with a current connection to Cologne and its surroundings. The students should namely not only study in Cologne, they should also know the city where they study and familiarise themselves with the history of the cathedral city.
